The Russian company is based out of Russia, employs 1300 employees including miners, geologists, managers and others that see to the day to day operations of the mine and company.

The mine resides in the remote area of Billings, Montana and has pulled in over 529,000 ounces of both platinum and palladium.  And that is only in one year, giving the company $394 million in revenues.

Currently there is no mention of price, and it is unheard if the SEC has approved the sale of this stock holder company.

They also make claims that their stock has risen over 28% during this economic crisis. Is this really the case? Should you jump on board and invest in this company?

With further research, we have found that this stock may be a solid investment. It has fallen considerably, losing over 50% of its value since August 2008, but it appears to have bottomed out like many other stocks, and is slowly crawling its way out of the bargain bin. Right now it is running at $2.39 per share, and its overall trend is up. But this is a slow climb, and is not an overnight billionaire stock. It does however look to be making some ground and with its discovery of a PGM zone, this should in the next few years become more valuable.

They are currently drilling on this mine and it should complete by the first quarter 2009.

This is a really simple concept, and it's no secret. You are on the internet reading my blog so you have the advantage over the common precious metal investor. You will use both online and offline resources to your advantage to get wholesale prices on palladium and sell them at or above spot price. Easily!

Really, it just comes down to buying from the right source. Here is a list of sources on where to get palladium below spot:

• Craigslist.org - Classifieds! Just place a FREE ad that says you are buying palladium, gold, silver. Many people want to make the easy money but don't know how to maximize their return, so they will sell it to you at a significantly reduced price. Best of all you set the price you want to pay
• Local Classifieds or Local Online Classifieds - I use KSL.com which is in my local area, and there are more out there in your area, just look for them. And don't forget to think local: your newspaper, thrifty nickel, etc. Ads are cheap or sometimes free
• eBay is both a good place to buy and sell. Use the search engines advanced features to maximize hidden listings that could give you a super deal, and once you have got your below spot metals, eBay is a great place to sell. Most items will sell above spot IF you have bought coins or recognizable collectible bars because they have metal value + intrinsic value

What? You expected more than that? Sorry to disappoint, but let's keep it a secret. I've used this technique for many years for great success!

If you are a gold panner, don't dismiss those shiny little silver nuggets. They may be silver, but they may be something worth much more. Hold onto those and check with an assayer. Although palladium is more rare to find, platinum can more often than not be found with gold. It is usually near nickel and iron, and can be easily seperated from other metals by removing those with a magnet.

An interesting fact I found in this article is platinum is more dense than gold with a gravity of 21.4 whereas gold is 19.3. Although gold and silver are more common, platinum is more rare and has more industrial value in many industries including science and automotive. Platinum and palladium can also be found in meteorites.

Palladium and platinum are very similar, but palladium melts more easy and is not quite as heavy as platinum. Another interesting thing about platinum is it is very hard to melt and was a big reason that prospectors back in the day didn't find the metal to be of great value!

In conclusion, check your silver nuggets when out prospecting as it may be either platinum or palladium which are worth much more.

Palladium is the underdog in the precious metals market.  It took a big hit in the summer of 2008 until December 2008, but it's bottomed out and looking at the chart above, it is plain to see that its on a slow march upward.  The next resistance mark is about $300.  According to the stochastic and the 20 day moving average it looks like the current 1-2 month move will be a drop to about $220-230, and then it will continue its climb upward with no major spikes unless current events change that.

How to Recover Platinum, Rhodium, and Palladium is easier than you think, and can be done with some careful instructions, and some visits to a car dump or other place that have objects that use precious metals in their construction.

For example, quite a bit of platinum and palladium can be extracted from catalytic converters.  And their are other things that you can extract precious metals from.  Let's see Platinum is worth over $1000/ounce(yes, worth more than gold), rhodium is worth even more than platinum(!!), and palladium is worth several hundred dollars an ounce.

Often time you can find these scrap objects for free or cheap at auto junkyards, scrap yards, dumping sites, and thrift stores.  With the proper tools you can extract these metals safely and come off with a clean profit, or a healthy sized investment metal that only cost the time you put into extracting it.

You will need to learn some safety methods because you will be dealing with chemicals for the extrusion process,  and a pyrex flask.

Automobile manufacturing is probably its biggest industry because of all the palladium that is needed in the making of a catalytic converter, but its also being used in fuel cells, oled's, and electronics.

Most importantly you are probably wondering how does palladium fit in with precious metal investing, just like one would invest in silver or gold, the most popular metals to invest in.

Simply put, it is as easy to invest in palladium as it is to invest in silver and gold.  With silver and gold you either buy coins, bars, or bullion, and then turn around and resell it at a pawn shop(bad choice), a coin dealer(okay choice), or online(best choice).  You can do all of those with palladium, except you may have a harder time selling to a pawn shop, but that's okay because you should never sell anything to a pawn shop.  You can also trade palladium on the major markets of the comex, just like you could silver and gold.

Another thing that will drive the price higher is the fact that metal is in short supply and not growing larger in supply.  All around the world people realize that the dollar is losing value, which means they are buying more gold, silver, platinum, and palladium.  Easy laws of supply and demand prove that when supply decreases price increases.
